Come and play your part in shaping the Future of Creative Technology in the South West on Thursday at Bristol Technology Festival. Calling on the collaborative spirit that defines this region, we will showcase the incredible innovations, businesses and people that reside here; amplifying our strengths that firmly place the South West as a rightful leader in the Creative Technology space on the national and international stage.

…we all know it should have been here, right? Join us as we unlock the untapped potential of creative tech in the region and realise what it takes to position ourselves as rightful global leaders. Fuelled by barista coffee and brunch, this interactive workshop invites participants to collaborate with key community figures and industry bodies to define what creative technology means to our community and chart a path forward.
Through collaborative discussions, we’ll explore the strengths that make our regional creative tech scene unique and tackle the challenges holding us back. What’s on our regional tech roadmap and how might this inform our future vision? How should we talk about ourselves as a collective? How might we foster further collaboration across the creative and tech sectors?
Starting with individual reflections, we’ll address the barriers, build a shared understanding, identify distinctive assets and prioritise opportunities for growth. Together, we’ll create a blueprint to elevate the Southwest’s creative tech industry on both national and global stages. Your voice matters—let’s shape the future!
Setting the future vision of Creative Technology in the South West

Join us for an engaging and interactive panel discussion that will dive into the future of creative technology in our region. Building on the insights from our morning workshop, our panel of industry experts will discuss the untapped potential of our sector and work together to define a shared vision for the future.
We’ll explore how the South West’s unique “open source” culture can foster deeper collaboration between the creative and tech industries. Expect thought-provoking discussions on policy, funding, ethics and inclusion. We’ll also discuss how emerging technologies will impact the creative sector and the role of creativity in future innovations.
You’ll be joined by key figures from the creative industries, including representatives from film & TV, media, design, arts, gaming and music, each bringing their own perspectives to the conversation.
So, come along, be part of this important dialogue, and help set the direction for the South West as a global leader in creative technology. Together, we’ll identify tangible steps to turn vision into action and elevate our region on the world stage.
