We expect all event participants to treat others with consideration and approach all conversations and interactions with patience, kindness, fairness, and honesty. We aim to follow the DICE event guidelines and are committed to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone. Harassment can include communication unrelated to matters of business, sexual advances, and offensive comments, written or verbal, relating to:

• gender
• sexual orientation
• disability
• physical appearance
• body size
• race
• ethnicity
• religion
• age

We do not tolerate disruptive or disrespectful behaviour, messages, images, or interactions by any participant, in any form. Participants found to be in violation of this Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the event immediately.

Online Events

We expect all digital event participants to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct, which covers the main digital event and all related activities. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, or suspicious or disruptive activity to the event host. In-Person Events

We expect all event participants to uphold the principles of this Code of Conduct, which covers the main event and all related activities. Please report any concerns, harassing behaviour, or suspicious or disruptive activity to the venue staff, the event host or owner, or the nearest event staff. To discuss any issues or concerns relating to the code of conduct, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

In-Between Events

We encourage people to make connections at our events, but expect our community to treat those connections with respect, adhering without exception to the rules outlined above regarding harassment.  Should we receive reports of abuse of these rules within our community, we reserve the right to refuse reservations to all future techSPARK events.

TechSPARK is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all event participants, including speakers. As a speaker at one of our events, we expect you to adhere to the same Code of Conduct that we require of all attendees, as outlined in our main Code of Conduct document.

In addition, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

• Be respectful: Treat all attendees with respect, kindness, and consideration. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
• Be inclusive: Embrace diversity and create an environment where everyone feels welcome, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.
• Be professional: Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.
• Be mindful of language and imagery: Avoid using language or imagery that may be offensive or discriminatory. We reserve the right to ask speakers to modify or remove any content that violates our Code of Conduct.

By agreeing to speak at a techSPARK event, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and to help us create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all attendees.
