The benefits that arise from taking the best steps to create a workplace with a productive diversity and inclusivity programme are far-reaching.

It is easy to say and harder to enact. For this reason, ADLIB has launched its bespoke Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy service.

Research has shown that a diverse workforce is a successful one. Investing in ensuring your business achieves this can increase candidate attraction, brand perception, staff retention and close those relentless skill gaps. All of this accumulates in better business performance.

Not about ticking boxes

ADLIB is passionate about its newest venture that has emerged through a partnership with Women’s Tech Hub and is set to run across the Bristol and Bath technology and data communities.

There are two components to the Consultancy. Firstly, ADLIB will initiate a Diversity and Inclusion Audit to establish what steps are already being taken, if any, to improve the balance in your workplace.

The next part involves mapping out a precise plan to kick start your new journey in diversity. ADLIB will then facilitate your businesses progress through coaching and mentoring toolkits and guidance, mystery shopping, thought leadership events, Diversity and Inclusion seminars and positive action programmes.

Facilitating this necessary change to workforce dynamics is a step in a very positive direction. Mia Impey, ADLIB’s Diversity and Inclusion manager, tells us, “Teaming up with Women’s Tech Jobs has been a fantastic opportunity to build a Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy and recruitment offering.

“Collectively, we’re able to offer businesses across the Bristol and Bath technology and data sectors much-needed solutions that will enable them to build a diverse and inclusive workforce.”

Here at TechSPARK, we think this initiative is an inspired idea. Managing Director, Ben Shorrock says, “The South West’s tech sector will hugely benefit from advancements like ADLIB’s Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy.

Untapped talent holds back progress – improving representation in the industry could be the key to closing the regions skill gaps and making Bristol and Bath’s cluster even better.”
