AutonoMe partners with London Ventures to improve the lives of residents with Learning Disabilities
AutonoMe utilises data to improve the lives of those with learning difficulties.
The virtual tool is multifaceted – with the AutonoMe app, users can access instructional videos designed to increase independence. Data on users’ support needs can then be visualised by local authorities to enable them to commission more efficiently.
The South West company has now been recognised by London Ventures – an innovative programme focused on driving sustainable and transformative change across London.
The initiative is being powered by EY; it hopes to deliver this ambition by introducing innovative private and third sector solutions to the public sector.
Working together for the better
Collaboration is key here. This cooperation is modernising the approach to public service innovations. By working together, AutonoMe and London Ventures are setting the precedent for local authorities to work alongside the private sector.
Cross-sector partnerships can drive positive outcomes for the local authorities and their residents. The people who need community schemes get the best deal whilst councils and private businesses benefit from the assets they can offer each other.
AutonoMe was picked as a Venture Partner for the programme after successfully supporting Learning Disability services at a number of Local Authorities outside London including; Devon, Plymouth, Surrey, Cornwall, and North Somerset.
AutonoMe CEO, William Britton, is looking forward to seeing where this partnership takes the business.
He says, “We’re really excited to be a partner in this exciting programme. We’ve been working really hard to refine our service and business model over the last few years with nearby Local Authorities in the South West.
“With a number of successful case studies and clear evidence showcasing how AutonoMe can enrich the lives of people with Learning Disabilities we’re ready to scale up across London.”
And London Ventures is grateful to have the team on board! Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council and Chair of Capital Ambition Board tells us, “I am pleased to welcome AutonoMe to the London Ventures programme.
“We hope that our partnership with AutonoMe will provide London local government with access to innovation that will help to improve outcomes for London’s residents and businesses.”
