Gradwell Communications has today announced its plans to make Bath City Centre the site of South West’s fastest Business District with the launch of GigaBath, a fibre optic network deployment, bringing gigafast fibre connections to the City Centre.
The deployment is enabled through a partnership where Gradwell Communications leases the fibre network infrastructure from CityFibre to provide gigabit speed connectivity to businesses located in an area covering an arc from James Street West, through Charles Street, Chapel Row, Queen Square, Gay Street, Barton Street, George Street, down Broad Street and across Westgate Street. Further spurs will then cover Walcot St, the Tramshed and Beehive Yard; Great Pultney Street; and the Circus round to Brock St. Customer demand will then determine the next areas to be connected.
The first phase of the network is already live, powering the Guildhall Co-working Hub, with the plan to enable the remaining network within 90 days of securing an initial 50 customers.
