The West of England’s very own tech awards, The SPARKies, are due back in 2014 for the third year running and will once again be celebrating the very best in tech people, products and companies that the region has to offer. The ceremony is scheduled to take place in October and the organisers are promising an even bigger and better award ceremony than ever before.

Last year’s winners included Complete Control, Techradar, CiteAB and Mubaloo. “2014 is going to be an extremely competitive year for The SPARKies awards,” said founder David Maher Roberts. “There are an ever increasing number of high quality tech companies in the Bristol and Bath region and we are expecting 100s of entries. The judges are going to have their work cut out!”

Last year’s judges comprised of tech and creative luminaries from the wide spectrum of established companies in the area, including Aardman, Mindspeed, Future Publishing, EE, Orange, Dyson, Bristol & Bath Science Park and Peter Gabriel’s Real World.
