The Real World 2013 Hack Day, held at the home of music legend Peter Gabriel, offered developers from Bristol, Bath and London the chance to show what they could do if they were given access to the APIs for two large databases:
- Peter Gabriel’s Gabble – a visual language with a huge database that explores the relationships between images and words
- The Filter, an API delivering personalised content discovery for digital media, with databases of film, music, games etc, and a host of user profiles
