Virgin Startup, a non-profit company set up to help up and coming entrepreneurs, will be visiting Bristol on their nationwide tour to find and fund new businesses.
The live event, which will take place on 9th September at the Watershed in Bristol, seeks to highlight exciting entrepreneurs working in the city and the surrounding area. Virgin Startup wants to provide loans and mentorship to businesses that are either in their first year or to people with a new business idea they want to explore.
The company has previously given out over £700,000 to hundreds of businesses and this event, which is free to attend, may lead to funding for local entrepreneurs anywhere from £500 to £25,000. The tour also includes talks from some of the most exciting entrepreneurs in the area, providing an excellent opportunity for newcomers to get local inspiration and for visitors to hear from some of Bristol’s most innovative businesses that are worth writing home about.
The headline speakers include Tristan Hogg, the cofounder of Pieminister a highly successful restaurant chain now in twelve locations including Bristol and London. Experts will also be attending to give out advice and answer any questions people may have on the start-up loans process.
If you are a budding entrepreneur simply looking for advice or relevant contacts then the event also doubles up as a networking opportunity. Whether you have an up and running new business or entrepreneurial inspiration has just struck, this event intends to act as a springboard for new businesses in the Bristol area.
