Update: You can get a more up-to-date idea of where the Bebod story is now by checking out our profile: How Bebods took on the world from Bath, one body part at a time
We’ve come over all spooky at bebods this week.
Maybe it’s a defence mechanism to blinker us from the reality that the public debut of bebods is just a week away, or maybe it’s just that our illustrators can’t help themselves with Halloween approaching.
Whichever way we’re showing off the creative possibilities of bebods by dressing them up in Halloween gear and transforming the bebods world into a living nightmare (albeit a very cute nightmare).
On Facebook you can check out our Freddie and other scary characters all week and maybe even get yourself a ‘costume’ for Friday.
Serious fun
And the fun we’re having is properly serious. Part of the beauty of bebods tech is that it is a clever bit of digital DNA that can travel the web and join in the fun at other websites and with other brands. A bebod can dress up in new clothes, put on accessories or make up. We’re already in discussions with some really major brands about using the bebods platform for their own games and activities.

Give us some time, but why not bebod superheroes, bebod Disney characters, bebod Mr Bean? Wait, we’ve done him as a paper cut-out already – another string in our commercial bow is the ability to output bebods into all sorts of lovely merchandise, and we’re busy testing how that might work too.
So, we’re still having loads of fun with bebods, but with a week to go we need to show off the core business ideas – an amazingly lovely and engaging creative world, a social network for kids, where a bebod is a digital you, where it can step out safely into the web, play games, dress up and somewhere you can even get the t-shirt.
And watch out for us (we’ll be the ones in bebods t-shirts) at the SPARKies this Thursday!
