Businesses from Bath, Bristol and beyond are being encouraged to enter into the Institute of Directors’ (IoD) Director of the Year Awards 2015.

Nominations are open to anyone in the South West region working at director level – you don’t need to be an IoD member.

Entry categories

The list of categories runs from Family Business to International, and judging will cover key elements of business direction including financial performance, managing growth and employee engagement.

“We had a very high standard of entry last year, reflecting the diverse and successful business landscape across the region”

The awards were created to recognise and celebrate the role of leaders and their contribution to the South West region. Previous winners include Bristol-based ecosurety founder & chairman Steve Clark, and managing director of Marshfield Bakery Chris Smith, working just north of Bath.

IoD South West chairman Richard Ayre commented: “We had a very high standard of entry last year, reflecting the diverse and successful business landscape across the region.

“So if you know an outstanding individual, or indeed want to nominate yourself, please let us know.”

Represent the South West

Regional finalists will be selected by the judging panel during April and invited to attend the IoD South West Entrepreneurs’ Dinner and Awards in Bristol on 17 June.

The winners will be announced at the event and go on to represent the South West region at the IoD National Director of the Year Awards in the autumn.
