If you’ve moved to London but you’re looking to keep and renew your connection with Bristol or Bath, or even move back at some point, “Tech in the West” is a great new Meetup group that will allow Londoners to keep in touch, to connect with Bristol and Bath employers, learn about who is moving to the region and find out what’s new in Bristol and Bath.
“Essentially the idea behind Tech in the West is to connect the regions”
You are also welcome if you would just like to learn more about what’s going on in the biggest digital cluster outside of London (in terms of number of jobs according to a recent TechNation report) and the ‘only fast growing and globally significant tech cluster in the UK’ according to McKinsey & Co.
Essentially the idea behind Tech in the West is to connect the regions – recently we’ve seen a lot of people are starting to move back to the area and we’d like to be able to support them in the move. We can help connect them with employers, help them find offices, and so on, and for the employers down here, we can help them to connect with people who may be thinking about moving to the South West – but are a little scared of making the leap!
Connect and share experiences
The plan is to run a series of evening events in central London, starting on 16 July, aimed at Bristol & Bath Alumni from the tech and digital sectors to connect and meet others from the region. The first Tech in the West meetup will be a drinking and networking event held at The Water Poet, a pub which boasts the best beer garden in East London.
For more information join the Tech in the West Meetup group which will keep you updated with upcoming events. You can sign up for the first event for free at the Tech in the West meetup page.
