Pelipod, the creator of the smart parcel delivery box, is relocating to Bristol and becoming a member of SETsquared – one of the most successful business incubation organisations in the world.

Pelipod’s success has stemmed from its innovative parcel box – a sturdy container that can be securely attached to the front of your home with a keypad entry system. Along with automatic transmission of secure codes for parcel and user access, it can be used for both deliveries and collections without the need for you to be home.

“We recognised the huge growth potential of Pelipod and are delighted to have them join us in Bristol”

Nick Sturge, Centre Director for SETsquared Bristol agrees and explains: “We have known Pelipod since its early days and it has a great and well thought-out solution for the big problem of the unreliability of parcel delivery. We recognised the huge growth potential of Pelipod and the strength of the founding team and are delighted to have them join us in Bristol”

With such success and growth predicted for Pelipod, it’s great to see startups like Pelipod increasingly recognising the potential benefits of being based in a thriving tech hub such as Bristol.

“It is amazing to see the variety of businesses and innovation in Bristol – there is a palpable buzz of energy to be amongst such entrepreneurs”

Mark Hennessey, Chief Resources Officer at Pelipod, tells us about some of the reasons for relocating to Bristol from their central London office.

He says: “As an early stage business we need to connect to wider business ecosystems to help with innovation, business support, finance and talent. Bristol is a thriving tech centre and SETsquared brings all the elements essential to business success under one roof.”

“We have been really impressed with the value add that SETsquared brings from critiquing business plans to plugging us in to the wider world. It is amazing to see the variety of businesses and innovation in Bristol and there is a palpable buzz of energy to be amongst such entrepreneurs.”

Pelipod have big plans for expansion in store for their move to Bristol too. Mark explains: “We have built a market ready product and have paying customers. We wish to focus on winning customers for unattended, time critical or overnight B2B parcel deliveries and then using this as a springboard to grow within the larger B2C market. To support growth, we have new product plans to deliver optimal solutions for different market niches.”
