A free business support initiative organised by small business network Enterprise Nation and business insurance provider Simply Business is offering free advice, workshops and networking at Clifton’s Friska Cafe to help local businesses to grow.

“This series of workshops is designed to give resident entrepreneurs face-to-face guidance and support from experts who can help them reach their business goal”

The week-long pop-up business clinic is on all week (it ends on Friday 2 October) and is part of a series of mobile growth support clinics set to appear on British high streets over the next 12 months offering advice and support to micro businesses, small firms and sole traders looking to take their business to the next level. You can see the type of advice on offer each day in the schedule below.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation said, “Research shows that businesses that take on board advice are more likely to succeed and grow. This series of workshops in the borough is designed to give resident entrepreneurs face-to-face guidance and support from experts who can help them reach their business goal.”

According to Tech City’s Tech Nation report, Bristol is home to one of the most thriving digital cluster of startups in the UK, employing 61,653 people within it. The report found the city’s digital workforce has important capabilities in EdTech, data management and software production.

Jasper Martens, head of marketing and communications at business insurance provider Simply Business, said: “Startups and micro-businesses are pivotal for the British economy and so often they don’t get the support they need. We fully support the mobile growth support clinics which will offer advice in key areas such as finance, marketing and sales. This is exactly the type of support small businesses need.”
