BJSS is a 20-year-old IT consultancy with offices all over the UK. It  is looking to expand its Bristol base and so is holding a networking event tomorrow at the Engine Shed to show off how it uses “software delivery and IT advisory services to deliver meaningful change for clients” in the hope of attracting more talent to its South West offices.

“Bristol offers strong educational links, an established and growing professional services hub coupled with a strong innovative and creative environment”

Gemma dean BJSSGemma Dean, BJSS’s South West Support Manager (pictured right), explains “BJSS has been working in the area for 18 months, with our focus consumed in delivering a critical programme for DVSA. We recently announced that Bristol is a strategic focus for BJSS informed by the calibre of individuals we have been able to recruit in the region, businesses we have partnered with and the interest we have had from new clients.”

Bristol growth wanted

The company has chosen to expand in the city because, “Bristol offers strong educational links, an established and growing professional services hub coupled with a strong innovative and creative environment.  This supports our growth plans in the UK of hiring and developing top technology talent to deliver change across six industries (Financial Services, Energy, Public Sector, Retail, Healthcare and Technology & Media).”

“Bristol feels dynamic and fresh and this helps foster interactions”

Gemma is impressed by various aspects of Bristol and its technology focus: “It’s the calibre and energy of the individuals that work within the tech scene here, together with the constructive encouragement and support from local government and organisations.  The city feels dynamic and fresh and this helps foster interactions as we grow the business.

Other BJSS events to come

She hopes that BJSS will be growing its influence with that tech scene too: “Given the business is relatively recent to the area the company will become more active from arranging hackathons, sponsoring networking events and sharing experiences to help foster success for the wider region.”
