Bath Digital Festival is a week long celebration of local digital industries in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding region. The area is recognised as one of the leading tech and creative hubs in the UK and the festival aims to showcase, educate and inspire the industries and people that make the sector great.
Last year’s Bath Digital Festival had over 25 digital events covering everything from virtual reality to big data, attracting 2,000 attendees, including 71 talks, 11 hands-on workshops, and 7 socials (not to mention our very own SPARKies Tech Awards)! And this year there are plans to make the festival even bigger and better.
Get involved
The Bath Digital Festival 2016, which will run from the 12 – 19 February, is running as an open model this time. This means that anyone with an idea for a event that celebrates the digital industries in any of its forms, and are happy to organise it, can run it as part of the festival with all the support, marketing and infrastructure the festival brings with it.
If you have an idea and would like to get involved you can contact them through the events page on the site. The Bath Digital Festival team behind the festival are also looking out for sponsors and volunteers to help run the events. In particular they need PR people, digital and print designers, a social media team, event photographers and videographers, general event helpers and event organisers to run sessions. If that sounds like you and you’d like help out then head to the get involved page on the website.
Happy volunteers: Some of the people who helped make last year’s
Bath Digital Festival run so smoothly, and had fun doing it too!
