Are you working on an idea that uses the power of the internet to tackle social challenges? The Nominet Trust’s Social Tech Seed may be the source of early stage funding you need to make that business a reality, with amounts around the £50K mark on offer.

“The Social Tech Seed provides funding and support to develop a basic prototype into a more robust product or service”

As the Nominet Trust explains, “The Social Tech Seed provides funding and support that enables entrepreneurial organisations with a basic, but functional, digital prototype to develop it into a more robust product or service and demonstrate its value to intended users and other stakeholders.”

Is this funding for you?

Not sure if you qualify, or want to make sure you do before you spend time filling in the application forms? The Nominet Trust team will be in Bristol’s Colston Hall on Thursday 24 March for one-to-one chats to see if your idea is suitable for the funding.

As the organisation says: “It’s a great opportunity to find out more about our Social Tech Seed programme and what we will be looking for in an application, as well as a chance for you to ask us your questions.”

You can see more about the funding offer at the Social Tech Seed pre-application events page on the Nominet Trust website and sign up here for the Colston Hall Social Tech Seed pre-application event. You can also follow the Nominet Trust on Twitter @nominettrus,t and for tweets specifically about the fund you can follow the hashtag #SocTechSeed.
