Renewable energy experts Regen SW and tech incubator the Engine Shed have announced a new partnership to support the renewable sector in Bristol.
Regen SW are experts in renewable energy – advising industry, through to public sector and local communities. This collaboration will allow its member companies free access to the Engine Shed Business Lounge; conveniently located next to Bristol Temple Meads station.
“The South West is a leader in the transition to a clean energy system”
Merlin Hyman, Chief Executive of Regen SW, says: “With over 13,000 jobs in renewable energy and £3 billion invested in projects, the South West is a leader in the transition to a clean energy system. The new partnership with the Engine Shed will enable member companies to build on that success through collaboration and networking with fellow entrepreneurs and innovators, business leaders, academics and professionals.”
Low-carbon collaboration
The agreement aims to support the rapid development of the low-carbon sector in Bristol. It will provide Regen SW members with a meeting space to facilitate collaboration and networking with academics, high-tech, creative and low carbon entrepreneurs and innovators, business leaders, policy makers and professionals.
“Having this hub for innovators in sustainable energy in Bristol will be great to extend the companies we can support”
Nick Sturge (pictured left), Director of Engine Shed, adds: “We are doing really well at growing high-tech, creative and digital businesses in Bristol & Bath but having this hub for innovators in sustainable energy in Bristol will be great to extend the companies we can support by providing a space for them to collaborate.”
