Shared travel-to-work service Slide is challenging Bristolians to join others across the world in going car free on World Car Free Day on 22 September.

Slide Bristol is offering a very techie shared commuting solution that helps beat traffic, save money and the environment.

person-using-the-slide-appUsing Slide’s free app, Bristol people can book a ride across town in a Slide mini-bus that is like a bus and a taxi rolled into one but with all the good bits.

The app uses a clever algorithm to work out the quickest route, ensuring it covers the drop-offs, and all with live updates on where the vehicle currently is in its schedule.

This time of year we see traffic at its worst, so with World Car Free Day on Thursday being promoted in Bristol, we hope lots of people will support it by giving Slide a try.”
