For South West online businesses, an opportunity to meet and share business boosting knowledge with some of the brightest minds in the industry is here, at the eCommerce South West conference 2016.

“We want to help empower other South West eCommerce businesses to grow”

Following the success of a smaller-scale eCommerce event in 2013 and with this year’s promise of demonstrations of the latest technologies, insights from top entrepreneurs and success stories to give businesses a boost of inspiration, this is not something you’d want to miss.

This year’s conference will be held at Bristol’s creative working quarter and venue, the Paintworks, on 20 October. And to top it all off, tickets are completely free!

eCommerce expertise

Many impressive local and international speakers are in the line-up already, including Matthew Curry (pictured left), the Head of eCommerce at Bath-based LoveHoney – the largest online sex toy retailer in the UK, Lukasz Zelezny who is Head of Organic Acquisition for UK price comparison site – uSwitch.com, as well as Lee Grogan, Senior Enterprise Manager at US-based Optimizely – a customer experience optimisation tool that’s gained some impressive clients.

Keen to find out more about the conference and how it all came about, we caught up with co-organiser Aran Reeks who tells us: “There’s a real need for an event like eCommerce South West in the area and we’re proud to be bringing such a great collection of both speakers and delegates together again this year.

“We want to help empower other South West eCommerce businesses to grow and we hope that through our diverse line-up of speakers and exhibitors, there will be a basket load of things that you can take away to help maximise your businesses potential.”

Special guests

In addition to these fantastic speakers, the organisers will have Google on hand throughout the day to help any businesses looking to get into AdWords, a pay-per-click advertising service, and will provide on-the-spot audits for anyone with a current AdWords campaign.

“If you’re in eCommerce, then eCommerce South West is targeted at you”

Chatting more about what he hopes attendees will take away from the event, Aran says: “We aim to have something for everyone to draw from at this year’s event, whether you’re a CEO, CMO, Marketing Manager, eCommerce Manager or a Developer. It doesn’t matter. If you’re in eCommerce, then eCommerce South West is targeted at you.

“I’m most looking forward to meeting other like-minded individuals and having some great conversations with them, and being able to learn from some of the other speakers.”
