Payment platform solutions provider Creditcall has many reasons to celebrate. Having previously won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, it has recently been included in a list that celebrates some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.
“To be honoured in this way, among more than 5 million other UK businesses, is special”
Delighted by the news, Lars Dige Pedersen, CEO of Creditcall, tells us, “While growth will be the key to our long-term success, it’s a particularly special reward to be named to this prestigious list that celebrates SME innovation within the UK. To be honoured in this way, among more than 5 million other UK businesses, is special.”
The London Stock Exchange’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report showcases businesses that have a unique capacity to innovate and create new jobs, in turn spearheading the growth of the UK economy. Lars tells us, “On a daily basis I see the dedication and effort our team puts in to bring innovative solutions to the Fintech industry. We’ve been rewarded by seeing our business grow in pretty much every measurable way.”
“The 1,000 companies on this list are doing amazing things in their respective fields”
Lars also tells us how it feels to be recognised amongst other businesses who have outperformed their sector averages, “The 1,000 companies on this list are doing amazing things in their respective fields. Simply being in their company gives us a feeling of pride, but also reminds us that we need to work diligently to continue to be worthy of their company.”
It’s the people!
Lars attributes the success to the Bristol-based Creditcall team. He tells us, “When people talk about the ‘1000 Companies To Inspire Britain,’ commonly used concepts include ‘innovation,’ ‘dynamic,’ ‘exciting,’ and ‘high growth potential.’ Creditcall is synonymous with all those terms, and it’s our team that deserves all the credit.
“We’re growing, we’re winning business, we’re disrupting our industry with innovative solutions”
“We’re growing, we’re winning business, we’re disrupting our industry with innovative solutions, and we’re doing it with a lot of passion and energy.”
Growing and going global
As well as identifying 1,000 companies, the annual report looks at the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and examines the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the British and European economies.
“The opportunities for growth — in terms of revenue, number of customers, and employing local talent — have never been better”
Overcoming obstacles and seeing the opportunities has helped Creditcall go from strength to strength, “We are fortunate to be positioned as a company at the intersection of some very exciting technologies and industries that are reshaping the way electronic payments are made across the world. This means that the opportunities for growth — in terms of revenue, number of customers, and employing local talent — have never been better,” says Lars.

He adds, “It’s an exciting time to be involved with the Fintech industry. So much is changing so rapidly, requiring a team that’s up to the daily challenge of keeping — and sometimes exceeding — pace with some very big international organisations. As a relatively small company, we’re having a large impact in the markets in which we operate.
“Market conditions and Creditcall’s place within the market are perfect for continued success”
“All said, the market conditions and Creditcall’s place within the market are perfect for continued success.” So it’s business as usual for Creditcall software and systems as they play a key role in everyday shopping experiences, helping secure credit card transactions, and helping the U.S. migration to chip cards.
If you are inspired by the success of Creditcall and want to join the gang on their way up, they are always keen to hear from talented individuals. You can even catch them in person at the SPARKies tech awards 2017, tickets can be bought using Eventbrite.
