After the success of TechRIDE, TechSPARK’s cycling and networking meetup, it’s time to brush off the cobwebs off those trainers and get yourself down to the launch of TechRUN – Bristol’s first running and networking meetup aimed at getting fit whilst connecting up the South West tech and digital community.
Kicking off fresh on Monday 25 September at 7:30am, TechRUN will begin at Bristol’s tech and creative hub Engine Shed for a warm up and a round of introductions followed by a steady jog around Bristol’s historic harbourside – depositing you safely back just in time for a satisfying stretch and well-deserved coffee.
Run & chat tech
TechRUN is open to all levels of fitness, with the only prerequisite being that you can run at least 5km in around 30-35 minutes without stopping.
Going with the slow and steady approach, the run will allow attendees plenty of breathing room to network and talk tech, taking the 4-mile (6.5km) loop at a pace of around 10 – 10.5 minutes per mile.
The run will be led by TechSPARK’s Assistant Editor, Alice Whale – a running fanatic and qualified run leader – along with TechSPARK’s MD Ben Shorrock who’ll be staying at the back to make sure no one gets left behind.
So whether you’re a tech newbie, a digital startup guru or a seasoned TechSPARK member – join us to run and network this Autumn!
To sign up to TechRUN for free, join the TechSPARK meetup and RSVP. You can also stay tuned with TechSPARK events and news by following us on Twitter here: @TechSPARKuk.
