CreativeXR Briefing, Watershed, Bristol, 3 October @ 1 – 3pm

CreativeXR unlocks the opportunity for creative talent to experiment with immersive content that inspires audiences.

Focused on the creative industries, namely the arts and culture sector; the three-month programme works with the best creative teams to help develop concepts and prototypes of immersive content by offering access to finance, facilities, industry leaders and commissioning bodies.

Through the application process, 20 companies will be awarded £20k each to develop VR content.

BathCamp: The future of health, The Guild Coworking Hub, Bath, 12 October @ 7pm

BathCamp is a free event for anyone interested in technology, from hardware to software through to the business and design side of things.

This month they have speakers talking about the inventive hardware design that solves problems for the disabled and a beginner’s guide to hacking your genome.

SQL Relay 2017, The Bristol Hotel, Bristol, 21 September @ 9am – 2pm

SQL Relay is returning for its 8th year and is heading your way this October.

With four tracks the event will provide in-depth tips and tricks for your SQL Server and Azure environment. There is also a morning and afternoon in-depth workshop, although spaces are limited in these so ensure you register your place by following the link below.

ACCU Bristol is the local chapter of the ACCU, which stands for professionalism in programming, meeting most months to discuss a wide range of topics relating to software development.

At this month’s meetup, hear FC take a light-hearted trip through security failures both physical and electronic that has enabled him over the years to circumvent the security of most of the world’s largest banks.

Artificial Intelligence Demystified, Engine Shed, Bristol, 26 October @ 9am – 5pm

A one-day, hands-on workshop to get you on top of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

AI can seem inaccessible and complex at first, but this workshop is designed to quickly give you the tools you need to understand how AI works and how you can use it.

This workshop will walk you through AI – what it is, and how to use and build it.

A new type of event that seeks to open a dialogue in which local companies and organisations can work with schools in a systematic and collaborative way, encouraging young people to get involved in the process of developing technology, providing an insight into their needs, experiences, and expectations.
