Bath Digital Festival is fast approaching and ready to celebrate the huge array and diversity of talent existing in the South West tech and digital scene with over 50 events from hackathons to digital skills workshops this week from 17 – 22 October.

Of course, Bath has an impressive history of tech and digital businesses with expertise ranging from chip design through to software development, digital publishing and VFX.

“Get in on the action and be part of the making this tech cluster a truly unstoppable force to be reckoned with”

And in the last few years the South West tech cluster has continued to grow stronger with investment from university institutes, incubators like SETsquared and new co-working spaces. This has meant Bristol and Bath are able to collect accolades like being part of the only ‘fast-growing, globally significant’ UK tech cluster and having its most productive tech talent.

But in order to continue this fantastic growth of innovation, the city needs to recognise the potential challenges it may face and the ways in which these challenges can be tackled.

To get the ball rolling, TechSPARK has joined forces with Bath Digital Festival and is inviting you to join us and a panel of founders, entrepreneurs and leaders to talk about key issues facing Bath digital businesses and how we should tackle the future.

In a classic TechSPARK Techie Brekkie format, anyone with a Bath Digital Festival ticket can register for a place and join in the discussion which is set to take place on Thursday 19 October from 8-10am at the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel.

Open to anyone passionate about our tech cluster and community, the brekkie will attempt to answer questions around how we make sure that this important industry can continue to thrive and grow in the city, what the major challenges are and how can we overcome them and how we can seize the opportunities of ubiquitous tech in the future and make sure Bath benefits.

So now’s the time to get in on the action and be part of the making this tech cluster a truly unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

You can let your fellow BathSPARK members know you’re going by RSVPing on the BathSPARK event page but in order to attend you need to also purchase a Bath Digital Festival wristband and confirm your place via the Bath Digital Festival website.
