The 11 companies pitching at this year’s Silicon Gorge showcase have been announced. Whittled down from 60 total applications, through two tough semi-finals featuring 24 companies the remaining pitchers have won the chance to pitch in front of an audience of investors as part of the showcase to be held at Bristech on 6 December.
Pitching for investment between £250,000 and £2.5m, the following companies (listed in alphabetical order) will be joining us at the start of December:
Invatech has developed a next-generation pharmacy operating system, Titan, which fundamentally changes the operating model of a pharmacy: introducing workflow, enhancing the patient experience and driving efficiency.
Limber
Limber is challenging the very concept of a job and leading a movement towards more flexible ways of working and hiring, via a user-led app.
Marble
Marble designs and operates swarms of 100mph drones flying 24/7 from a robotic hangars infrastructure, to collect data at a very large scale.
Metasonics
Metasonics pioneers a novel, reconfigurable acoustic metamaterials technology, enabling applications within consumer, architectural/environmental, medical and non-destructive evaluation (NDE) markets.
Okulo
Okulo is opening up eye care directly to individuals, with a self- administered platform that aims to detect visual loss before the patient does.
Payaca
Levelling the playing field for independent tradespeople. Payaca’s unique platform instantly links leading loan providers directly to consumers.
Tap (Personal Privacy Solutions ltd)
Using blockchain, Tap is a secure app which acts as a personal data store for the consumer and provides a secure environment to manage Subject Access Requests (SARs).
Snap Tech
Snap Tech provides visual search solutions powered by AI, machine learning and computer vision. Simply ‘Snap’ any fashion item and our tech will provide exact, similar or complementary items available to purchase.
Tumelo
Tumelo’s mobile app helps you change the world through engaged investing. We provide financial advice, personalised portfolios in line with your values, and help you have impact on the companies you own.
We Build Bots
By applying AI to conversational data captured via messaging platforms, SMS, email, social and voice, IntelAgent powers chatbots and voice assistants to help businesses save money, make money, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Wriggle
Where Deliveroo and Justeat are delivering food to people, Wriggle, firmly established in Bristol, is looking to deliver people to restaurants across the UK.
