Meet Fourth Floor Creative, an Influence Marketing company founded in November 2017. Since its humble beginnings, Fourth Floor Creative now has 27 members on its team, with no plans of slowing this expansion down.

Answering 10 questions about the company for us is Fourth Floor MD, Rich Keith.

1. In your own words – what do you do?

Fourth Floor is a specialist influencer marketing agency. We work with brands to enable them to deliver content marketing campaigns using influential digital content creators, usually on the creator’s own YouTube, Instagram, Twitch or other social channels.

We also offer white label creative production, event management and merchandising. Over the past 18 months, we’ve delivered more than 50m views for brands like Sega, Channel 4, Activision-Bizzard, One Plus, Square-Enix and many others.

2. What’s the most exciting thing about what you’re doing?

Working with creators (we are careful about the word influencer as it focusses on the output rather than the reason why they are influential) is a growth area and we’ve been able to expand very quickly.

But the most exciting thing is always the content – when we get a partnership right it works for the creator, the brand and the audience. It can have almost magical results.

3. What are you most proud of so far?

Despite the fast rate of growth – from two people at launch to over 25 now – we’ve been very careful about the team we’ve recruited and I’m really proud of how they’ve developed and grown with the company.

We couldn’t have got where we are now without the right people doing the right things every single time.

4. What have you found most difficult about being a startup?

We’re entirely bootstrapped so we’ve needed to have a careful eye on cashflow while also taking enough risks to grow at the pace the work we’re winning requires.

5. What would you do differently if you started now?

Nothing!

6. Where do you think you’ll be in 12 months?

Bigger, better and in more countries. We have offices in France and North America as well as our Bristol HQ and expect to be in another three territories in 12 months.

7. What tools/people/services/organisations from the cluster have helped you most?

We spun the business out of the Yogscast, the UK’s first collective of YouTuber creators and now the biggest network on Twitch, as well as still being massive on YouTube.

Sharing an office with them and being able to continue to work with their roster of creators has been hugely beneficial.

8. What’s the best thing about the Bristol & Bath tech cluster?

There are so many exciting businesses of all sizes and lots of ways to make connections with like-minded companies and people. Also, Bristol is simply an amazing place to live and that makes it so much easier to recruit talent.

9. Who will you be nominating for a SPARKie next year?

I’m not sure they need much more bigging up but I’m really interested to see what Olio do this year so it could definitely be them.

10. Where can we find out more about you?

Our website, Fourth Floor Creative, or follow us on LinkedIn.

Thanks and congratulations to Fourth Floor Creative who found themselves on The SPARKies nominations list this year.
