Zeetta Networks was announced as the winner of the “Big Pitch” award at ENGIE UK’s Innovation Showcase event, taking home a prize of £10,000.

The network technology company was up against four other companies that made it through to the final of this year’s competition with the theme “Connected Places”.

Making networks customisable

Zeetta Networks’ pitch was focused around making networks and connectivity more customisable and remove any complexity around digital networks across buildings and communities. The technology allows users to define the services they need and then programme a network that meets those exact needs.

In addition to the £10,000, Zeetta Networks has been awarded the opportunity to develop a proof of concept, working together with ENGIE UK’s business. Enquiries about the network have already been coming in, hinting at a need in the market.

Zeetta Networks is a company that develops smarter networks. They lead the development of open, programmable networks based on a software controller called NetOS, that provides full network visibility and management.

The network company commercially deployed NetOS in several enterprise projects across Europe and successfully demonstrated 5G Network Slicing in early 5G testbeds.

Ian Teasdale, VP of Sales and Marketing at Zeetta Networks, says: “Zeetta Networks is delighted to win ENGIE’s ‘Big Pitch’. The competition was exceptionally strong. Zeetta’s concept of a ‘Network for Life’, the ability to deploy a network that changes and morphs through the various stages of a regeneration project, obviously resonated with the judging panel. We’re looking forward to working with ENGIE on a proof-of-concept that delivers operational savings and enables new services.”
