Local universities in Bristol & Bath have been highly ranked in the latest Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020. The University of Bath is the highest ranked in the South West at number 11 nationally after rising 2 places since last year. The University of Bristol has jumped up four places to 15th in UK universities.

The guide is based on an analysis of 134 UK universities judged on nine indicators including student satisfaction with teaching quality and their wider student experience, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and degree completion rates.
