Rocko People, has launched a club for those working in roles focussed on looking after the people of their organisations. This is part of Rocko’s services offering of HR, Learning and Development, and Recruitment services to tech businesses
Rocko Club launched last week. It will build a community of those working across different tech businesses to share challenges and solutions with peers. The Club will run regular on and offline networking events, advice, news and discounts on services. It will be completely free to join.
Talking about the club, Rocko founder and CEO, Sarah Williams, says. “One thing we’ve noticed in our time working with tech companies is that, whilst many start-ups value their people, the role of HR or head of people, or whomever looks after that area, can be very lonely.
“Tech Businesses grow quickly, and everything from the most basic of policies and processes, to building and maintaining a solid culture often falls on one person, and that’s before even considering the rate of recruitment some of these companies are facing! We wanted to create a club to give those people better access to their peers, so that they can share some of the common challenges, which are unique to working in the tech industry.
“We hope to make Rocko Club an interactive space where people can build their own networks, help them advance in their careers, support them day to day, and share best practices of how other professionals in similar roles tackle their challenges. Plus, we offer all our club members a nice goodie bag, discounts and some freebies from our Rocko Shop!”
Rocko Club is free to join by signing up here. The Rocko Team hopes to run their first in-person event in Bristol in September.
