We’re really excited to announce that Huboo partners with TechSPARK joining our expanding tech network. As the most connected tech network in the UK, we host over 35,000 users a month reaching key influencers and bolstering the tech network in the west of England.
Huboo was founded in 2017 by CEO Martin Bysh and CTO Paul Dodd. The company was started to help startups and SME businesses manage their eCommerce. ECommerce itself is a thriving industry with a projection that by 2040, 95% of all retail purchases will be executed online.
Huboo has capitalised on this thriving market and offers eCommerce order fulfilment and storage. So far they have emersed over 1000 clients, shipped over 5 million products just in the last 12 months.
Working with clients such as Skin Woof, Dingbats and Flare Audio, they have continued the trend of upward growth since their inception. They have also been the recipient of numerous awards, winning the Global Business Excellence award for Outstanding Innovation, the Logistics Award for Growth and the Best Exploitation of Tech award from the Direct Commerce Awards.
New Endeavours
As of July 2021, they have launched their first EU fulfilment centre in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. This has created 200 new jobs in the region with the option to continue expansion if demand requires.
This new Netherland base comes after a series of record-breaking months for Huboo. Their revenue has increased by 730%, the team size trebling and warehouse space quadrupling over the past 12 months.
“We chose the Netherlands as our first European base because it is already a major hub into Europe and will allow our couriers to get to most of the mainland in just one or two days. Furthermore, there currently isn’t any other service in the Netherlands that offers the same unique micro hub model that we do, so we are at a real advantage and believe the opportunities for us to grow are huge. We’ve also noticed that the Netherlands has become a hotbed for eCommerce, tech start-ups and innovative enterprises in recent years, particularly in Amsterdam, so it is a really good fit for Huboo” – Martin Bysh, CEO and co-founder
