Bristol Technology Festival (BTF) is back once again to bring you an array of events across the city delivered for and by our tech community. We’re so excited to announce that TechSPARK will be running the festival to showcase the amazing feats of technological innovation, talent and sense of community that Bristol is proudly home to. Making this all possible is our community partners.
We believe technology conferences should be fun, engaging and open to all, regardless of experience, so from 10 – 14 October 2022, Bristol will host a series of over 50 social events, encouraging everyone to participate through interactive seminars, workshops and activity spread across the city.
This year, we will be bringing you a different theme each day: Purpose, Protect, People, Play, Pioneer. These themes will span the depth and breadth of what Bristol’s tech and digital cluster has to offer, encompassing everything from Green Tech companies innovatively tackling the climate crisis, to smart AI solutions to truly demonstrate the vibrancy of our sector.
If you’d like to get involved in the festival, whether that’s supporting as a sponsor, hosting an event, as an attendee, or as all three, you can find the information you need on the BTF website here.
What to expect from Bristol Technology Festival

Bristol Technology Festival first launched in 2019 by a small group of tech enablers, movers and shakers, with the ambition to collate a series of events in the space of a week. It was of course a huge hit, attracting an audience from across the country, putting Bristol’s tech scene on a pedestal.
After a couple of covid-disrupted year’s which meant adapting the format to remote and hybrid models, we’re relieved to be bringing the festival back in-person, giving you all the chance to connect with one another and interact with the events you attend.
As usual, events throughout the festival are crowdsourced from organisations across the city. These include tech companies, public bodies, schools, community interest groups and charities. Events are open to people in the tech sector, business leaders from across sectors, visitors wanting to know more about the region, and anyone wanting to know more about the city’s digital industries.
If you’re apart of these groups, why not host an event? Providing the topic aligns with one of our five themes, we’d love to hear from you. If you have an idea for a keynote, workshop or panel up your sleeve, please submit your info on this form here.
Breaking down the themes
