The South West People & Technology conference, Define Tomorrow, is challenging both ‘people-people’ and techies to get the most out of their technology in this hybrid world. ComputerWorld, organisers of this event has announced its annual event will take place at Ashton Gate, Bristol, on 23rd November.

This year’s event is different. It’s designed with two tracks, so there’s something for everyone. Track 1 – the flexible working track – is for the users and people-people in a business. Tech jargon is banned here! And Track 2 – the hybrid cloud track – is where the techies can hear the latest IT announcements, trends, and advice.

“We’re not the same people that went home to work in early 2020. The collective experience of the past two years has left a lasting imprint, fundamentally changing how we define the role of work in our lives.”

WorkLab, Microsoft

After two years of change in the office, it’s time to reflect on how technology is there to work WITH your employees. We have been reactive in keeping our businesses open during lockdowns, but things will never be the same going forward. Businesses now need guidance and forward thinking for their modern workspace.

Hybrid working is here to stay. Microsoft’s latest report, Microsoft Future of Work Report 2022 has found that 59% of UK workers prefer hybrid working, and incorporating a hybrid working plan has reduced quit rates by 35%.

This event is sponsored by a host of industry-leading names – Microsoft, Del, Arctic Wolf Security, and more. They are there to talk, demonstrate and help you get into modern working practices.

Industry-acclaimed speakers will also be hosting sessions:

  • Sarah Armstrong-Smith, Chief Security Advisor at Microsoft – understand how to enhance your business’s security by joining the most influential woman in cybersecurity.
  • Jamie Woodruff, Europe’s number one ethical hacker – you’ll be taken through the mind of a hacker.
  • Dr James Graham, next-gen Windows Experiences Lead – understand how to enhance your modern working practices and get the end-user experience your team deserves.

And that’s just the beginning… there are more exciting speakers to be announced. Define Tomorrow 2022 will cover all areas that any modern business would need. What’s more, in the spirit of bringing people together, this event and its 200 attendees will be a great time to network and reconnect.
