The awards show dedicated to celebrating Swindon’s vibrant tech scene is back for 2023. The sixth Techies Awards is now open for nominations.
Hosted by The Business Exchange, the Techies is a place to recognise the fantastic technological innovation happening throughout Swindon & Wiltshire and to shine a light on organisations, projects, and individuals undertaking outstanding work in their fields.
The awards are open to all Swindon & Wiltshire-based businesses who are doing exciting things with tech, regardless of sector. Entries close at midnight on Thursday 7 September 2023.

The Techies
There are 13 categories to choose from with one new category this year – Wiltshire’s Leading Woman in Tech.
On adding this new award Anita Jaynes, Director at the Business Exchange, tells us, “We decided to add this award into the mix as the industry continues to struggle to close the gender gap.
“According to a recent report by government funded growth network Tech Nation, nearly three million people, or 9% of the UK workforce, are employed in the UK tech industry. Just 26% of those in the tech workforce are women. We want to inspire the next and put the spotlight on the women in our community doing great things.”
The Award Categories are:
- Flying the Flag for Swindon & Wilts Tech
- Best Tech Support Service
- Future Tech Superstar
- Social Impact Award
- Best Tech Security
- Best Tech Start-up
- Most Innovative Tech Solution
- Best User Experience
- Using Tech to Transform Business
- Driven by Data
- Tech Team of the Year
- Outstanding Contribution to Swindon & Wiltshire Tech
- Wiltshire’s Leading Woman in Tech
You can enter the Techies here, until 7 September 2023. The Techies’ headline sponsor is Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership for the sixth year in a row. More sponsors include Thrings, All Boxed, Elm Workspace and Business Cyber Centre.
