The Bath Digital Festival is now well underway as we roll into the second day of the week-long event. Things kicked off with an innovative and engaging lineup yesterday; Tuesday is set to bring an even bigger selection to choose from – make sure to check out our top picks if you haven’t already signed up.

If today’s sorted for you, it’s time to make some choices on what to attend on Wednesday! Tomorrow’s theme is Collaboration, sponsored by TEKTowr. We can change the world if we work together – we are a tech community built around collaboration, bringing ideas and passions together. Let’s use this day to look at the world differently, help each other, listen to each other and build a strong conversation.

We’re taking over some huge spaces at the wonderful Newark Works to play with Immersive Technology.

Join us from 9.30 for coffee and buns, we’ll have an informal panel debate from 10am around the application of immersive technologies and we’ll then have a couple of hours to engage with the technology in all its forms, from VR binoculars, apps, immersive cubes and much more!

Who will be there?

TEKTowr – an engineering solutions company that uses DevOps, Machine Learning, Virtual & Augmented Reality, Distributed Ledger, Embedded and IoT technologies in demanding aviation, manufacturing and automotive sectors. They are our day sponsors for Collaboration Day, and this morning is all about working together – they’ll be bringing their immersive cube.

Zubr – is one of the UK’s top studios for augmented and virtual reality innovation. They’re bringing lots with them, the VR binoculars you might have seen on the front page of this months Business Exchange, an immersive carpet and more!

Dorothy House & RUH – How is immersive supporting healthcare? We’ll hear from the RUH and get to experience their project with Dorothy House.

Bath Spa University – How are immersive technologies enabling global creative collaboration? Ian Gadd will be telling us all about it and then you’ll get to experience it.

Virti – Train teams smarter in an immersive learning world – what does that mean? Come along and find out.

We’ll also have a Caravan of The Future outside.

Lots to see, open to anyone working in, or interested in digital and tech!

Ever fancied building your own CRM system…and beyond?

What if it could plan resources, track projects, schedule staff and more? What if you could create a bespoke and scalable business platform, for CRM and beyond, without the need for code?

Well at this fascinating interactive session from Agilebase, you can find out how, and help a local not-for-profit business at the same time.

As part of our commitment to the tech for good theme, we’ve partnered with Bath & West Community Energy (BWCE), a successful community owned business that develops renewable energy projects, runs innovative energy demand programmes and provides local community benefit in Bath and the surrounding areas.

In the session you’ll be creating a no-code system for them to use to help deliver projects for local good – whether it’s fighting fuel poverty or reducing energy demand.
