The Women in Tech & Cyber Hub otherwise known as WiTCH, is expanding from its base in Cheltenham. After popular demand, the group is launching its new network in the heart of Bristol.

In case you’re not familiar with WiTCH, the organisation is a not-for-profit that started in Cheltenham last year. They are a trailblazing networking and mentorship group aimed at empowering women in the technology industry. Through its diverse and inclusive community, WiTCH strives to create a supportive environment where women can share knowledge, find mentorship, and develop professionally.

This expansion marks a significant milestone for WiTCH. Their growth illustrates a strong need for the existence of such groups as more women enter the industry. In this next chapter, WiTCH is harbouring all of the collaboration, mentorship, and inspiration that they’ve acquired so far, and continuing its mission in Bristol.

WiTCH is for all women (and their allies) who are passionate about tech, regardless of where they are on their career journey. The group is striving to revolutionise the tech and cyber security sectors. They pride themselves on not being an average networking group, aiming to bring a bit of magic and empowerment to the women working in our community.

How can you get involved?

The launch event is taking place on 24 August at 6:30pm, hosted by Immersive Labs. It promises to be an evening filled with celebrations and insights. Attendees can look forward to an inspiring keynote address from the founder of WiTCH, Illyana Mullins and even more importantly, there will be ample opportunities to connect with potential mentors, mentees, and like-minded individuals during the networking sessions.

WiTCH has garnered a reputation for its unique blend of a supportive atmosphere and cutting-edge knowledge-sharing. The organisation believes that empowering women in tech and cyber security is the key to unlocking a future where women are at the forefront of innovation, and where they are empowered to unleash their full potential.

All women in Bristol’s tech community are invited to join this empowering movement. Together, let’s celebrate diversity, drive innovation, and make a little bit of magic in tech.
