Bath Digital Festival (BDF) is set to return from 13th to 15th May 2025, transforming Bath into a vibrant hub of innovation, creativity, and cutting-edge technology. More than just a local event, this curated festival aims to provide a platform for the entire South West region to explore, learn, and celebrate advancements in the digital and tech industries.
Supported by leading sponsors, including the University of Bath, Bath Spa University, Bath and North East Somerset Council, the National Composites Centre, and Space West, the festival promises a diverse programme of interactive workshops, dynamic panels, and thought-provoking discussions. Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with the latest technologies and connect with the visionaries driving the future.
Three Themes, Endless Inspiration
This year’s festival is built around three transformative themes:
- Space: Beyond the Horizon
Highlighting the South West’s role as the UK’s third-largest aerospace cluster, this theme explores both the literal and figurative boundaries of space. Delve into immersive digital environments, rethink physical and workplace spaces, and consider the human drive to explore and create. - Sustain: Enabling the Future
From sustainable business models to mindful personal growth, this theme redefines what sustainability means for people, the planet, and communities. It’s a call to action for ideas that go the distance—whether in design, education, or urban development. - Being: The Human and Beyond
With a focus on health, life sciences, and the intersection of technology with the human experience, this theme tackles neurodiversity, mental health, and advancements like IoT, robotics, and quantum computing. It’s about enhancing what it means to be human.
A Festival for the Region, By the Region

Bath Spa University Pro-Vice Chancellor External, Professor Andy Salmon described last year’s festival as, “the place where we can vision, debate, and meaningfully enact the ever evolving relationship between technologies and values.”
