As part of the Silicon Gorge programme, we’re catching up with the finalists to learn more about their origins, the problem they’re solving and why they’re looking for investment. Next up is Jethro Binns, Co-CEO at LevelTech.

1.  What does your company do?

LevelTech provides the most accurate, real-time player rating system for sport, helping men and women track their progress, find fair competition, and play at the right level. We’ve built the global standard in squash and are now scaling into padel and badminton.

2.  What problem are you trying to solve?

Players often struggle to find competitive, evenly matched games, and organisers lack the tools to run fair and efficient competitions. Existing systems are often inaccurate, fragmented, or focused only on elite levels. We’re solving this by making accurate, accessible ratings available to every player, everywhere.

3.  What makes your solution unique?

We specialise solely in player ratings—we’re not a booking or competition platform. Our proprietary algorithms handle singles, doubles, and cross-region play with exceptional accuracy. Already trusted by federations, clubs, and tens of thousands of players, we’re the only rating system built specifically for points-based sports with the scale and precision to unify them.

4.  What are you most proud of so far?

Becoming the global standard in squash, with endorsements from the World Squash Federation and the PSA, and growing to over 10,000 paying users. We’ve also launched successfully in British padel and secured a £360k Innovate UK Smart Grant to build the next generation of doubles and mixed rating systems.

5.  How much are you raising and what do you want to use investment for?

We’re currently raising £350k on a CLN to fuel growth across squash, padel, and badminton. This will help us accelerate user acquisition, expand our presence in padel and badminton, and secure major commercial and federation partnerships—such as with the LTA. Once these key milestones are achieved, we plan to raise a larger round (£1–1.5m) later this year to scale the platform globally across multiple racket sports.

6.  What tools/people/services/organisations helped you most?

Innovate UK and SETsquared have been key supporters, along with early commercial partners like PSA, WSF, and R3 Sport. Our users and pilot clubs have been invaluable in shaping the platform.
