Get access to cutting-edge VR tech for £24
With Europe’s biggest virtual reality (VR) conference, VR Word Congress, being held in Bristol for the third year running this April – the range of cutting-edge VR and augmented reality (AR) tech being showcased this year is on a scale the city has never seen before.
Occupying most of Millenium Square in central Bristol, the conference’s expo will feature the latest in virtual reality from an array of worldwide companies, so you can have a go on the latest VR headsets and preview some of the most exciting games and experiences available – all for £24.
“We hope to open up [VR] technologies and inspire more people than ever before”
As well as offering full conference tickets, VR World Congress has opened up its demo area so that anyone with an interest in VR can come along, get involved and have a go for a fraction of the price.
As well as showcasing key players such as Microsoft’s HoloLens and Unity Technologies, the expo will also shine a light on the work being done in VR and AR in the local South West region including Ultrahaptics mind-boggling ‘feeling without touching’ tech and the VRGO virtual reality chair (check it out in the video below).
Ben Trewhella, Director of Opposable VR which organises the event, says: “We’re so excited to be able to open up VR World Congress this year, by making the expo more accessible and affordable to anyone with a keen interest in VR.
“Whether these are startups looking at bringing VR technologies into their business or simply those with a VR curiosity that needs an itch, we hope to open up these technologies and inspire more people than ever before.”
Expo tickets are available on either 12 or 13 April for £24 – or you can purchase a pass for both days for £42. You can get hold of your expo tickets and find out more on the VR World Congress website. To stay up to date with its latest exhibitors, follow them on Twitter here: @VRWorldCongress.
