Senior Dotnet Developer

About the job

About LiveDiligence

We’re a multi award-winning B2B SaaS startup on a mission to accelerate investment in net zero. Our platform has been used on over 200 renewables transactions globally, from the UK to Australia – and our product evangelists range from the world’s largest investor in offshore wind, through to the developer of the world’s first electric forecourt.

For clean energy projects to be built, they must be financed – and financiers require a robust review of risks before they’ll commit capital (’due diligence’). We use tech to make the risk review quicker, more collaborative, and far less stressful.

Our unique approach to structuring data also opens up a whole new range of exciting technical possibilities that can solve longstanding due diligence pain points. We have an ambitious product roadmap we are eager to deliver, and we need talented and enthusiastic people to help us get there together.

All this is great for the planet: accelerating investment in net zero. And it’s great for business too. US climate change envoy John Kerry calls the energy transition ‘the biggest market opportunity the world has ever known’.

About this position

With product-market fit established, we’re now excited to be scaling our business. Join our international team to work directly with the chief technical and chief product officer: architecting and building LiveDiligence into the market leading due diligence platform driving faster investment in net zero.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Using your creativity and skills to solve challenging technical problems.
  • Designing, building and maintaining high quality, reusable code.
  • Shaping the technologies needed to implement our ambitious product roadmap.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on feature development cycles. We are not a ticket factory: we give our teams a high degree of autonomy and responsibility to deliver on the scope of a feature.
  • Contributing to the planning, development and management of our stack.
  • Continuing to grow your skills and technical abilities by seeking feedback and undertaking training.
  • Supporting the development of junior engineers.

You’ll combine technical excellence in your field with strong communication skills and proven track record delivering high quality code in an enterprise environment. Most importantly, you’ll be excited by working in a small, growing team – and be eager to grow as an individual whilst we grow as a company.

Ideally you will be based in the Bristol area and be able to come into our lovely office in the heart of the city, a couple of days a week. If you would rather be remote somewhere else in the UK then let us know.

About you

You will have a degree in Computer Science (ideally Masters) and at least 5 years experience delivering commercial software. You’ll love the challenge of flipping from a big picture view of our application to getting hands-on with the design and coding of features.

  • Algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and databases
  • Web Application Architectures
  • .NET Core
  • C#
