M shed to host inaugural Umbraco Spark Innovation Conference

14th March 2019

On 22 March the M Shed in Bristol will play host to the first ever Umbraco Spark Innovation Conference. Focusing on innovation and forward thinking, the conference will cover topics such as Umbraco Headless, .Net Core, Machine Learning / AI, personalisation, mobile apps, content as a service, and digital assistants.

With innovative and exciting talks from some of Umbraco’s biggest names, two tracks and an after party, it’s shaping up to be a great Friday for Umbraco aficionados. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect at the event:

Track 01 will contain some exciting and interesting topics with an agenda set to give you ideas and tools for the future. With talks from the likes of Lee Kelleher (UMCO founder, MVP & umBristol organiser) and Callum Whyte (umbraCoffee & UK festival organiser) sharing exactly what is involved in migrating an Umbraco V7 site over to V8 and how we can start to take full advantage of what the latest version has to offer.

We also welcome Pete Duncanson, Managing Director at Offroadcode and Steve Temple, Technical Director at Gibe Digital sharing how we can use AI to enhance Umbraco sites and make them more awesome. Kenneth Jakobsen from Umbraco HQ is also set to join the party, walking delegates through a common scenario in V8 consisting of CMS, API & app.

Track 02 will include a number of community talks in a more informal environment. Speakers will include Phil Whittaker from Hi-Fi and Anthony Dang from Cogworks, as well as a number of other great community leaders. Callum Whyte will also be hosting a live session of UmbraCoffee at 1130, so make sure you head over to track 02 to listen and join in.
