Gavin Eddy has an LLB (Hons) and an LLM (Hons) in Law from University College London. He spent 10 years as a trader in Debt Capital Markets for investment banks Merrill Lynch and UBS and was one of UBS’s youngest Managing Directors. During that time he began investing in and mentoring start-ups, before moving to Somerset to set up Forward Space in 2007.
Forward Space is a managed workspace company providing innovative workspace to start-up and emerging businesses located in the South West.
Gavin works closely with the University of Bath’s entrepreneurship programme and is a former SETsquared Business Mentor of the Year. He continues to invest in early stage businesses and manages a portfolio of companies within the food & drink, fast moving consumer goods and technology sectors. He lives near Frome.

The pace at which it is accelerating and the recognition that it is achieving as a world-class cluster.
