WOTB: Festival of Female Entrepreneurship, Colston Hall
20 October @ 9.30am to 4.30pm
WOTB is an organisation that helps women start up in business and run profitably. This year, they are holding their annual festival of female entrepreneurship – Reach Out For Success – at Colston Hall in Bristol.
Including inspirational talkers from successful female entrepreneurs, networking sessions and workshops throughout the day as well as exhibition stands for local businesses to showcase what they do.
If you’d like to exhibit your business at the Festival of Female Entrepreneurship, stand spaces are still available for purchase.

The Pitch 2014, The Paintworks
23 October @ 9am -8pm
30 small businesses will descend on the Paintworks in Bristol on 23 October for The Pitch 2014 competition. Offering them the chance to pitch to a live audience of judges, investors and supporters with the winner receiving a ‘business boosting’ prize package worth thousands!
The 30 finalists, which include Bristol-based Wriggle and Much Better Adventures, were shortlisted from 100s of applications after a selection process that has involved everything from video pitches to online campaigns and business bootcamps. So you can be sure the final 30 businesses mean… well… business.

Tickets are still available to watch the pitches as well as attend expert led workshops and network with other entrepreneurs, investors and small businesses with lunch included – all for just £10!

teXplore #4, SpiderGroup office in Lewins Mead (Bristol)

teXplore is an event run by technology enthusiasts SpiderGroup, who open their doors and welcome you into their office in Bristol to explore some of the latest business technology.
teXplore #4 is themed ‘Wearable Technology’ with speakers on activity trackers and iWatches, as well as some awesome tech for you to test out including Google Glass, Microsoft Surface and more!

Women Who Code is a global non-profit organisation dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers by creating a global, connected community of women in technology. The organisation tripled in 2013 and has grown to be one of the largest communities of women engineers in the world.
They are launching a new Bristol meetup offering free technical study groups, events featuring influential tech industry experts and investors, hack events and more!

The first Talend user group Bristol and South West UK event, Goldbrick House

This user group is for designers, developers, contractors, consultancies and anyone interested in working with Talend, open source data management software, to help those who use data to do it a whole lot better. They meet up regularly at venues in central Bristol to share information and ideas, to network and to hear presentations from guests and from group members. They’ll pay the bar tab too!
