Chatbot startup valued at £2M after just 6 months
We Build Bots, a Bristol and Cardiff-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup who incorporated just 6 months ago, is already over 50% of the way to its current £500,000 crowdfunding target to scale-up its chatbot platform IntelAgent.
“We’re delighted with how quickly we’ve reached 50% of our target raise”
The IntelAgent chatbot works by applying AI to conversations captured via messaging platforms, SMS, email, social and voice to efficiently and accurately automate answers, perform tasks, identify sales opportunities and more.
Plus with a pre-raise valuation of £2M, and several big organisations already on board, including Amnesty International, The AA driving school and Future Plc, these chatbot experts are set to disrupt the customer service industry in a big way.

Commenting on the startup’s success, Paul Shepherd (pictured right) We Build Bots’ founder and CEO tells us: “IntelAgent is helping companies across the utilities, automotive, charity and publishing sectors save money, make money and better engage with their customers.
“We’re delighted with how quickly we’ve reached 50% of our target raise, and we look forward to scaling our sales, development and data teams once the round is closed”.
As well as its crowdfunding success, We Build Bots have been finalists at the Silicon Gorge pitching competition, selected as one of Europe’s top 200 startups by leading tech conference Web Summit and made it into the final 25 of Oracle’s Startup Cloud Accelerator.
“I cannot tell you how excited we all are for the next chapter”
Ashley Wheeler (pictured left) We Build Bots’ sales director adds: “From that lightbulb moment over a morning coffee to an exciting and vibrant business that’s leading the pack, we are all extremely proud of where we’ve taken We Build Bots to date, and I cannot tell you how excited we all are for the next chapter.”
We Build Bots’ crowdfunding campaign will continue to run until the first week of April. Anyone who wants to get involved can find out more via the IntelAgent Seedrs page. You can also find out more via the IntelAgent website or the We Build Bots website.
