Anyone that’s been a part of the tech and digital community for any length of time will know that keeping abreast of the latest technical developments and maintaining an open and creative mindset is key to achieving continued success and insight. But the benefits of changing perspectives has benefits for creative businesses too.
“Vision is about opening your mind to new ways of doing business”
Returning this November, Vision Conference 2017 is bringing together the creative community and business owners who want to do things differently for a day full of entrepreneurial spirit, thought leadership, knowledge sharing and an opportunity to connect with peers.
You can get an idea of what Vision is like by checking out the conference’s 2016 highlights video below:
The conference, which sold over 50 of its early bird tickets just days after the release announcement, is proven to inspire the creative community in the South West – attracting high-profile speakers such as Tarek Nseir, Co-President at BIMA & Founding Partner at TH_NK, who’s the scene setter for the day focusing on the next digital revolution at the conference’s opening keynote.
Tracey Follows, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at The Future Laboratory, will also deliver a trends briefing in addition the Founder of the most awarded design agency at D&AD in 2017, Jim Sutherland from Studio Sutherland, will be sure to inspire designers with his talk ‘Joy & Design’.
Vision’s Organiser and Editor & Operations at Bristol Media Caroline Marshall (pictured right) tells us: “Vision is about opening your mind to new ways of doing business. Sometimes that is simply hearing from other successful business leaders; other times it is hearing from entrepreneurs who do things differently.
“There are so many speakers I’m looking forward to meeting and hearing talk”
“The conference has always been largely aimed at those working in creative agencies. But with the convergence of creativity and tech, we also try to cover subjects such as AI, Chatbots, VR, AR and 360.
“This year Producer Director Mitch Turnbull who has done some pioneering work with the BBC Natural History Unit will be talking about her experiences of working in 360. Plus many of the talks at Vision are about how to run a successful business which is applicable to all sectors.
“We love seeing delegates arrive knowing that they are going to have a fantastically valuable day full of inspiring talks from creative business leaders. There are so many speakers I’m looking forward to meeting and hearing talk. It’s going to be a great day.”
Vision 2017 will be held on 4 November at the University of Bristol Students’ Union. Grab your tickets on the Bristol Media website and follow them on Twitter to stay up to date with the speaker line-up here: @Bristol_Media.
