A new hub of office pods for Bristol’s diverse business community has been announced for North Bristol, with leases available from December. Podville is located in Almondsbury Business Park and features 12 all-inclusive, flexible office spaces built from repurposed shipping containers.
Each innovative high-spec pod can fit 4-6 desks and is perfect for small, modern businesses ready to move into their own space. Podville combines the best of both worlds: the privacy, security and identity of a dedicated office in a secure and private space with a collaborative, coworking community. Each pod is an ideal incubator for small businesses, individuals and start-ups, especially those seeking an accessible location.
Podville provides another location for Bristol’s burgeoning entrepreneurial business community to call home. Thanks to its north Bristol location, it avoids city centre congestion and provides easy access to mainline trains and motorways. Equipped with air con, heating, Cat 6 data cabling and 200mbps dedicated fibre, the pods feature creative designs and ‘industrial chic’ interiors.
The one-year lease includes broadband, electricity, service charges, allocated boardroom time, use of the breakout space and kitchen, off-street parking for cars and secure cycle storage. With no hidden charges, businesses can be secure in knowing exactly what their monthly outgoings will be, while they take responsibility for their business rates and telephone charges. And should they wish to take advantage of it, there is also a preschool nursery handily located nearby on-site, ideal for working parents.

The team behind Podville purchased the site, a former National Grid building, several years ago. It also includes ‘The Powerhouse’, a selection of larger contemporary office suites (also available for occupation). They recently decided to refurbish the site, having realised it was the perfect location for the first Podville community. Podville provided a way to maximise the potential of the site and make use of the under-utilised space in the grounds.
